We knew the usual fare sales wouldn't change perceptions, we had to prove to customers that Alaska Airlines shared their passion for Hawaii. We did this by harnessing the islands most powerful resource: the waves. Working with Surfline, we tracked swells approaching the island. Offshore buoys precisely measured the swell height, which we used to create our discount. This was the highest performing promotion in Alaska Airlines’ history.
